um, I have definitely seen this sometime before (I'm really hoping it was here on DA -maybe in a group?) though I hadn't commented on it then. This doesn't look very much like a painting to me, so props for that! it reminds me a lot of digital, actually. It's probably the amazing gradient square pattern as well as the silhouetted cats! It's interesting that you have the cats hanging out on strawberries, as the realistic sizes are quite different. The first time I saw this I don't think I cared for it, but that was prior to realizing it was a painting (as if for some reason digital would give it less merit? ). Anyway, I like it now so that's my point lol, especially since I'm guessing that this may have been created for, or was inspired by, the DA cat/fruit/clock contest.
Thank again. But it wasn't inspired by this contest. I saw that, but I seemed annoying to me. By the way, digital art has less value just because it is digital. Of course, there might be a lot of work done, but still this is just created on a machine. I think that's why.
You're welcome Oh so it's just a coincidence, eh? that probably would be oddly annoying.. sorry to assume! I think a lot of it might have to do with the amount of time spent creating the piece. Though I know it can take digital painters plenty of hours to create pieces as well. Traditional painting just feels more.. artsy in a way, but it's hard to really define how maybe it is the lack of technology! or rather, the paintbrush and paint itself
you know, you can always change everything on a computer. may be that's why. When you are painting it is not always like that. But overall I agree with you. Just sometimes, you know that it is not good but you want to hear some approvement words from someone.
